How to Cure a Wine Hangover? Simple Tips From Wine Experts
We’ve all been there, and by “there” we mean that hangover that can’t be shaken. A bottle of ibuprofen and a tall glass of water seems to be the go-to remedy, but there’s so much more to hangover recovery. Hangovers are dependent on many things, such as how much you drank, age, weight, and food consumed before alcohol consumption. These are just a few things you can do to make the recovery process a tad bit easier.
Rise and Shine.
Waking up seems like the last thing you want to do, but getting up early helps jump start your metabolism. Don’t worry, naps are definitely still in the picture.
Water. Hakuna matata.
The key is to try and consume about 6–8 ounces of water every hour. Hydrating is the most important key to remedying your hangover. There are other ways to hydrate besides just water. Our personal favorite: coconut water. Stick to the chocolate flavor and feel the magic happen!
Shower time, double time.
A shower will allow you to wake up and get refreshed from the night before. Try to take a somewhat cooler temperature shower as it will make you more alert.
What to eat?
Do not eat greasy foods! Your brain is tricking you into thinking you want that greasy piece of bacon, but do yourself a favor and eat a protein-rich option.
Set the mood.
Throw on some ambient music at low volume. It will reduce your stress and allow you to be productive!
